Social Media Marketing for the Holidays

                With the hustle and bustle of holidays soon approaching, many companies are trying new ideas on how to get their products inside the mind of the consumers. Consumers are projected to spend a grand total of $650 billion dollars through the course of the season. This is no wonder why nearly 70% of the brands in the US are using a form of social media marketing campaign.
                With 67% of companies stating that they will be investing more money into social media marketing there will be a huge amount of money spent on social media marketing in the holiday months. Facebook is the biggest target for these brands with a 92% of the social media based marketing going towards it, as opposed to twitter or other websites that are both only at 4%. Though Facebook is the largest there a trends towards reaching out to newer untested sites for marketing like Snapchat, Swarm and Instagram, with Instagram predicted to be the biggest marketing breakout of the 2014 holiday season.
                With there being a massive amount of users on social media websites and a growing trend there is no doubt that the future of marketing during the holidays lies in the realm of social media and will only continue to grow stronger.
